Something my yoga teacher said this morning really resonated with me. It was that when you get down to it- the whole purpose of asanas and the practice of physical yoga is to be able to sit comfortably in meditation for as long as you need. Meditation isn’t a side experience that you do for 5 minutes after class. It’s the WHOLE purpose. Sitting. Feeling. BEING. Learning how to free your body & mind. Detaching from the ego, learning how to let go. Yes, it’s nice to be flexible and to be able to backbend and have a lightness in your body, but there’s a greater purpose to the practice. Don’t forget it.🔮👁✨
‘But no matter, the road is life’🌿
pondering the meaning of life, wondering if our existence has any purpose, or if we’re all just meaningless blips on the vast, magnificent universe. also questioning if that lady with the selfie stick has any bananas🍌
‘Darling, Self discovery isn’t always about the most convenient ways You’ll have to burn, learn and yearn, The unexpected, the unusual, and the unknown’ Noor Unnahar ✨

Lessons from the lotus🌸 Be here now🕊 Draw your energy from your own inner light✨ Turn your face towards the sun🌞 Remain vibrant even amid life’s muddy waters🌍
somewhere in between reality and a dream
Maybe the journey isn’t so much about becoming anything. Maybe it’s about un-becoming everything that isn’t really you, so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place. In the act of letting go of our old attachments, thought patterns, and habits, peace is found 🌸🌼
Today I was invited by the owners of the ashram I’m staying at to attend one of their local ceremonies. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever witnessed. 🌸 Seeing everyone together meditating, chanting, and praying gives you such a sense of unity. It makes me remember why I started traveling & the kind of experiences I’m looking for on the road🌍
right before I dropped my lens cap in the water with about a million koi fish🙈
smiles all around ✌🏻
we can not cure the world of its sorrows, but we can choose to live in joy🙏🏻
